Abstrak

Effective mathematics instruction is crucial for developing students' logical and analytical thinking skills. However, the diversity of student characteristics often poses challenges in the learning process. This study aims to explore the implementation of differentiated instruction in the context of mathematics education and its impact on student learning outcomes. The method employed is a literature review, analyzing various relevant scholarly sources regarding the concepts, applications, challenges, and strategies in differentiated instruction. The findings indicate that differentiated instruction can enhance student engagement and learning outcomes by tailoring instruction to meet individual needs. Despite challenges in its implementation, such as time constraints and a lack of training for teachers, strategies like professional development and the use of technology can help overcome these barriers. The conclusion of this study emphasizes that differentiated instruction is an effective and relevant approach in mathematics education, capable of creating a more inclusive and responsive learning environment to student diversity. This research is expected to provide practical guidance for teachers in implementing differentiated instruction in the classroom.
